After two days and late into the night my sister and I talked and laughed ourselves hoarse going through boxes and boxes of old family photos. There was no time to paint but I have taken some reference photos of her dog Barney (the Briard) for a first dog portrait attempt!

My two days apart from the oil paint became three yesterday. Our garden needed attention removing the thick layer of deposited silt from flower borders. Back in October our whole garden was underwater -not unusual – unfortunately the torrent of silt that came with it from the adjacent field was!

I finally got back in the studio today for a still life although my painting arm is extremely achy after yesterdays booster jab! ‘Sardinian Jug and Gerberas’ 6 x 6 inches Oil on Gesso panel
