Almost a weeks worth of challenges!

Todays prompt ‘In the Cafe’ Day 24 of the #30daysketchbookchallenge

I intend to have a go at this tonight in Gouache..a medium I have never used before. Hopefully at my evening art club meet a fellow artist will be able to give me some pointers!

Meanwhile I have completed days 18-23

Day 18 Something you wear I chose my old seasalt raincoat in watercolour.

Day 19 & 20 At the Park and Bricks and tiles

Day 21, 22 & 23 Insect, Book Cover and A Bridge this one from a ref photo by The Man behind the lens

Some days time was limited by work and Nana duties I think its obvious which!

I have managed three new oil paintings. First up a little 8 x 6 plein air at Kimmeridge Bay on the Jurassic Coast looking towards Clavells Tower. It was bitterly cold, grey and flat light after an hour I couldn’t feel my fingers or toes!

Two still life Studio paintings where it was much warmer to work.
‘Fruit, Veg and Fungi’ Oil on Primed Wood Panel 8 x 8 inches. Edibles from our local farm shop ‘Steepton Bill’.

The flowers are the last blooms from the bouquet my daughter bought over two weeks ago. Very good value! I Hope to finish this tomorrow afternoon.

Oil on Canvas Board 10 x 14 ’Last Blooms of the Bunch’

Thats it for today thanks for reading I will update you on the Gouache painting in my next post.
