Day 9. Hooray the strong winds of the past few days dropped, the sun came out mid morning perfect conditions for a little Plein air in my neighbours garden.
I have often over the years whilst working in this garden admired the little trio of Silver Birch trees, and thought what a good subject for a painting. Especially so when the sun lights up the beautiful bark.
Outside the light changes quickly, it is important not to chase the shadows. As you can see by the time I finished an hour and a half later the light had changed so much!
I may add to this in the studio at a later date but for now its finished.
